50 aspirants for VC post

LAHORE, Nov 20: The Higher Education Commission’s vice-chancellors search committee will interview 50 aspirants for the coveted post of Punjab University vice-chancellor in its three-day session from Thursday (tomorrow).

The committee, headed by Syed Babar Ali, will interview over 15 candidates every day. Sources say the committee will conduct thorough interview of every candidate.

The post fell vacant on Sept 22, when former VC Arshad Mahmood’s second consecutive four-year tenure concluded.
