4,000 Sikhs to arrive tomorrow

LAHORE, Nov 19: Over 4,000 Indian Sikh pilgrims are expected to arrive here by train on Wednesday (tomorrow) to attend the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. The three-day festivities will begin on Nov 22 at the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak at the Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib.

Officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee will greet them.

The ETPB has taken strict measures for their security. Under the plan, no vehicle will be allowed parking on the premises of five major gurdwaras in the province. —Staff Reporter
