Vigils to be held in UK

By our Special Correspondent

LONDON, Nov 19: Silent vigils will be held on Tuesday evening in British universities protesting against emergency rule in Pakistan.

The Campaign Against Martial Law, a non-political party alliance of academics, lawyers, journalists, students and other members of civil society, will be participating in an half-hour synchronised silent vigil at university campuses across Britain to exert pressure on Gen Musharraf to restore the rule of law in Pakistan.
