KARACHI: Kidney theft case hearing

KARACHI, Nov 19: The Assistant District and Sessions Judge, Central, Qazi Mohammad Naeem Siddiqui, on Monday directed investigation officer of a case, in which a complainant had accused a doctor of depriving him of his kidney, to produce the case property in the court on Dec 15.

Dr Kashif Mateen is facing charges of depriving the complainant, Mohammad Kashif son of Zamir Hussain Siddiqui, of his kidney during a surgery on May 7, 2006 for the removal of stones from his gall bladder.

Dr Kashif has maintained that the patient had already one kidney when he came to him for the surgery.
