LAKKI MARWAT: JUI-F finalises names of candidates: One NA seat, three PA seats

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 19: The district chapter of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) announced the names of its candidates for one National Assembly and three provincial assembly seats of Lakki Marwat on Monday.

JUI-F district information secretary Hafiz Muhammad Jamshed made the announcement after the party’s district executive body finalised names at a meeting.

According to the announcement, Amir of JUI-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman, district Amir Maulana Abdul Wahid, Maulana Muhammad Anwar and Maulana Anwar Salim will be the party’s candidates for the National Assembly seat (NA-27).

For PF-74 (Lakki Marwat-I), the party announced names of tehsil Serai Naurang chapter Amir Maulana Ejazullah, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Naseer Muhammad Khan (former MNA), Khalid Latif and Hafiz Shaista Khan.

For PF-75 (Lakki Marwat-II), Maulana Muhammad Maqbool, Maulana Bashir Ahmad, Malik Imran (former MPA) and Maulana Muhammad Tahir have been okayed.

Likewise, Maulana Abdul Haq, Maulana Fazal Ghani, Maulana Abdul Wahid and Hafiz Muhammad Jamshed have been declared candidates of the party for PF-76 (Lakki Marwat-II) in the coming polls.

“The names of the deserving candidates have been dispatched to the provincial leadership for the purpose to select suitable candidates for the national and provincial assembly seats and award them party tickets”, Hafiz Jamshed told. He said the district chapter of JUI-F has geared up the mass contact campaign as part of preparations for the coming elections.

“The central Amir of JUI-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has been invited to contest elections for the National Assembly seat from Lakki Marwat district”, he told, saying that it is not yet clear whether the JUI-F chief would accept the offer or he would decided to jump into the election arena from his home constituency in Dera Ismail Khan.
