KARACHI: International Child Abuse Day today

KARACHI, Nov 18: As the world is set to observe the International Child Abuse Day on Monday, the latest figures collected from media reports and independent surveys record no let-up in sexual violence against children in Sindh.

The figures collected through newspapers and child rights committees reveal that 216 cases of sexual abuse have been reported till Nov 16, 2007.

A large number of victims of sexual abuse are female children — 163 girls and 47 boys.
