BERLIN, Nov 17: Sweden’s Stefan Nystrand set a new record of 45.83 seconds for the 100m freestyle in a FINA World Cup event here on Saturday.
Swimming in a 25-metre-long pool, Nystrand smashed the previous benchmark of 46.25sec held jointly by American Ian Croker (March 2004) and South African Roland Schoemann (January 2005).—AFP
