KARACHI, Nov 17: Five ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Oel Trust, Kapitan Byankin, Ts Nagoya, Hanjin Qingdao to unload and load containers and Nafto Cement -11 to offload coal, were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships which departed included Lalazar, Y.M. Xiamen and Wadi Al-Rayan, while Iran Tabatabaei, Chi Feng, Kou, Ts Nagoya, Sea Tank, Ataraxia, Oel Trust, St. Jame Park and Capitan Lefteris are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow as the total tonnage fell to 63,393 tons comprising 20,791 tons of export cargo including 1,998 tons of rice and 2,805 tons of cement and 42,602 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Swat with crude oil, Harmony, Jitra Bhum, Calvin P. Titus and Ever Given with containers.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Emerald Park to load ethanol, Process with 15,000 tons of palm oil, Grand Ruby with 700 cars, Lucky Arrow and Hanin to load 11,400 and 4,000 tons of cement.
