LAHORE, Nov 16: Almost the whole of the top brass of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently in India to witness the lop-sided five-match contest which was convincingly won by the hosts at Gwalior on Thursday.
The PCB offices at the Gaddafi Stadium wear a deserted look these days with Chief Operating Officer Shafqat Naghmi, Director Administration Nadeem Akram, Director Cricket Operations Zakir Khan, Director Media Ahsan Hameed Malik (as media manager of the Pakistan team), General Manager Subhan Ahmad all visiting the neighbouring country for the ODI contest.
The PCB chairman, Dr Nasim Ashraf is also set to reach India from London on Saturday to watch the last one-dayer at Jaipur while chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed and Director National Cricket Academy Mudassar Nazar will be flying out next week for the Test matches, starting Nov 22.
And while the PCB officials are enjoying life away from office, reports filtering in from India reveal that a number of Pakistani cricketers are busy signing contracts with various TV channels and advertising companies on the challenging tour.
