Cueists fail to impress in Thailand


KARACHI, Nov 16: Imran Shahzad of Pakistan went down fighting against Hong Kong’s Chan Kwok Ming to suffer his second defeat in the IBSF World snooker championship in Korat, Thailand, on Friday.

According to information received here, Imran offered tough challenge to Kwok Ming before going down 69-31, 49-58, 81-22, 26-70, 39-60, 58-75.

Imran is placed fourth in Group ‘F’ with four wins in six matches. Stefon Mazrocis of the Netherlands is currently leading the group by winning all six matches.

Earlier, in the World Masters competition, defending champion Mohammad Yousuf of Pakistan suffered his second defeat going down 3-1 against Au Sun Pul of Hong Kong.

Yousuf won the second game but Sun Pul was too good for him. The scores were 81-23, 28-64, 69-20, 69-74.—APP
