KARACHI, Nov 16: Farhan Afridi’s superb half-century helped St Paul’s School record a seven-run victory over Fahad Academy in a match of the PCB National School Cricket Championship here on Wednesday at the KCCA Stadium.
Batting first, St Paul’s posted 212-8 in the allotted 40 overs. Farhan (58) played well for the side. Fahad Academy, in response, scored 205-9 off their 40 overs. Majid Khan (62) played brilliantly but he couldn’t save his side from defeat.
Earlier, GBSS Ibrahim Ali Bhai School defeated GBSS Nazimabad School by seven wickets at the TMC ground.
Batting first, GBSS Nazimabad scored only 68 before they were bundled out in 30.4 overs. GBSS Ibrahim School chased the target successfully in 23.3 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Meanwhile, Sadiq Public School registered a massive 92-run win against GBSS Model Colony at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
Sadiq Public, batting first, made 249 in 39.3 overs with Wajahat Ali Khan (53) and Faizan Kazmi (52) being the main scorers. GBSS Model Colony, in reply, could score only 157 before losing all of their wickets in 31.5 overs.
In another match, Royal Academy thrashed Mid Asia Foundation by seven wickets.
