KARACHI, Nov 16: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, edible oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, CMA Puget, Al-Wajba, Progress-II, Yick Zao, Al-Maqwa and Gemini, were currently busy in loading/offloading containers, coal, edible oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 97,280 tons comprising 75,860 tons of import and 21,420 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only one vessel, Al-Wajba, left the port. CMA CGM Puget and Yick Zao were expected to depart on Friday.
