Two soldiers killed in Waziristan explosions

MIRAMSHAH, Nov 15: Two soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in explosions in North Waziristan on Thursday while reports of a massive movement of troops were received from some areas.

All main roads were closed to traffic because of movement of security forces from Datakhel to Bannu.

Sources said a paramilitary soldier was killed and another suffered injuries in a bomb blast in the Shawal area near the Afghan border. The soldiers were carrying water from a spring.In Bakakhel area of the Bannu Frontier Region, a military vehicle hit a roadside bomb killing one soldier and wounding two others.

The vehicle was part of a convoy going from Datakhel to Bannu via Miramshah.

Local people said that troops had blocked roads and closed the Mirali bazaar because of the passage of troops.

Soldiers opened fire in Mirali town injuring a civilian who was taken to hospital.
