KARACHI, Nov 15: Five ships carrying containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Wehr Rissan, Marin Star-1, Emirates Jumeirah and Hyundai Highway to unload and load containers, Noor-e-Madina, to unload and load general cargo, Lalazar and St. James Park, tankers were berthed on Thursday.

Sailing was also active as six vessels, APL Shenzhen, Pac Antlia, Marine Star-1, Ajaki, Ibn Bassam, and Fade-1 departed, while Wehr Rissan, Cap Cologado, Noor-e-Madina, Hyundai Highway, Iroquols Maiden and Lalazar are due to sail out on Friday.

A total cargo volume of 0.119m tons comprising 41,155 tons of export cargo, including 2,075 tons of rice and 14,884 tons of clinkers and 77,900 tons of import tonnage was handle on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Ts Nagpya, Oel Trust, Hanjin Qingdao, and Kapitan Byankin, with containers and Nafto Cement-11 to load cement.
