Promises made by PPP-S fulfilled: Sherpao

PESHAWAR, Nov 14: Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that PPP-S is the party of the masses and therefore all out efforts are being made to solve the problems confronting the common man.

Addressing a public meeting after the inauguration of a gas supply project for the Nisata, Bobak, Kalyas and adjoining villages on Wednesday, he said PPP-S believed in selfless service of people and had fulfilled the promises it had made to them during the last elections.

The interior minister said that projects pertaining to electricity and gas supply and road construction were being undertaken on priority.

In Charsadda alone, he pointed out, 10 gas supply projects were being executed at a total cost of one billion rupees.

Referring to the situation in Swat, Mr Sherpao said that all ways and means were being explored to find an amicable solution to the issue.

He said the PPP-S would go to the polls on the basis of its performance since it came to power.

Earlier, the interior minister inaugurated the Nisata, Bobak gas supply project costing Rs50 million.

The project after completion will benefit 8,600 houses.
