FRANKFURT, Nov 14: German economic growth reached 0.7 per cent in the third quarter, but a slowdown is still looming in the eurozone’s biggest economy, analysts said on Wednesday.
German economic activity expanded by a stronger pace than in the second quarter, when it had grown by just 0.3 per cent, initial data released by the federal statistics office Destatis showed.
On a 12-month basis, it was up by 2.5 per cent when adjusted for calendar effects, while neighbouring France also posted a quarterly increase of 0.7 along with a 12-month figure of 2.1 per cent. —AFP
