LAHORE, Nov 13: Wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmad leaves for India on Wednesday to join Pakistan team before the fourth One-day International of five-match series against India to be held in Gwalior on Thursday.
Sarfraz was picked after first choice wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal had sustained an injury in his left hand in the third ODI played in Kanpur.
Sarfraz’s visa has been issued and all arrangements for his journey to India has been completed in three days after the team management sent a SOS call to send a wicket-keeper. The national selection committee has picked up Sarfraz and he is likely to make his international debut on Nov 15. As he was playing in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy matches, the country’s first-class competition, he is in perfect playing condition.
