KARACHI, Nov 13: Five ships carrying DAP fertiliser, coal and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

The berthing activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships, Mol Ability, Tenth Ocean and Hanjin Ningbo with containers, Ataraxia and Capetan Lefterics with DAP fertiliser, Ibn Bassam with general cargo, Akaki, Freja Pacific and Chemstar Brave, tankers with oil and chemicals were accommodated berths.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Pu He, Conti Germany, Arehangelos, Conti Express, Formosa Product Cosmos, Roectof, Isabel Kuntsen and Asian Queen departed on Tuesday, while Chemstar Brave, Mol Ability, Contiu Esperance, Freja Pacific, Hanjin Ningbo, Tenth Ocean, Akaki, Face Antilia, Fade-1 and Ibn Bassam are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.131m tons comprising 17,392 tons of export cargo including 1,754 tons of rice and 2,793 tons of cement and 0.113m tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hundai Highway, Kapitan Byankin with containers, Areadi with DAP fertiliser, Astra with coal and Nour-e-Madina with general cargo.
