QUETTA, Nov 12: A constable was injured in an explosion at the City police station here on Monday evening. Sources said an explosive device hurled by a man exploded in the police station, causing injuries to Constable Wali Dad who was taken to the Civil Hospital. A car parked outside the station was damaged.
The explosion caused panic among the people who were shopping in a nearby complex and in the Liaquat Bazaar.
Also on Monday evening a powerful explosion rocked Turbat town. It took place near the office of the district coordination officer, Kech.
Makran Range DIG Ghulam Qadir Theboo said that some elements had planted the locally-made explosive device near the DCO office building. No casualty was reported.
CHILD INJURED: A child was injured in a hand grenade attack on a house in the Kharotabad area at Samungli Road on late Monday night.
According to police sources, the grenade hurled on the house of one Akhtar Mohammad Kakar exploded in its courtyard injuring his eight-year-old son.
The injured boy was taken to the Civil Hospital.
“We have arrested the accused,” police said, adding that the cause of the attack was a property dispute.
