Associate of Arbab aide shot dead

HYDERABAD, Nov 11: The man in-charge of the office of Ms Nuzhat Pathan, adviser to the Sindh chief minister, was shot dead in Doomro village under the Bhittai Nagar police station.

Armed men on a motorcycle shot Lal Bux, who was sitting outside the office with his two cousins, waiting for the adviser who was to visit the office in the evening.

According to Ms Pathan, the armed men shot Lal Bux at point blank range, causing severe injury. He was taken to hospital where he died.

According to Medico-Legal Officer Dr Shakeel Qureshi, the deceased had been shot twice in abdomen.

The adviser identified one of the assailants as Yousuf Wassan, whose sister had married the deceased’s brother of her own free will. She said that the deceased and the assailants lived in the same village.
