Woman, three children drown

SWABI, Nov 11: A woman and her three children drowned on Sunday when a rickshaw they were riding in skidded off the road near Sher Ali Banda and fell into the Gohati canal.

Two of her children and another woman were rescued.

The bodies of the woman and her children were taken out by local divers.

The woman and her five children had boarded the rickshaw at the Gohati bus stop and were going to the Mansoori village. Another woman was also travelling with them.

The rickshaw driver fled the place after managing to come out of the canal.

The victims’ names could not be ascertained.

However, police said that their father Wajid Ali was informed about the accident, who had reached the site.
