TAXILA, Nov 11: Seven members of a family were killed and a minor was injured critically in a traffic accident in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police on Sunday.

The national highways and motorway police (NHMP) said the family was going to Peshawar in a car. When it reached near Haro bridge, the driver lost control and the car collided head-on with a passenger bus (RIR 7110).

As a result, Rehmanullah, Yousaf Khan, Zarghoon, Jehan Zaib, Bakht Zareen, Shireen Bibi and an unidentified three-year-old girl, who were travelling in the car, were killed on the spot while Sanaullah, 6, was critically injured.

The NHMP, the Hassanabdal police and Edhi ambulances rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies from the wreckage of the car and shifted them to different hospitals.
