KARACHI: 350 fellowships for teachers pledged

KARACHI, Nov 11: Vice-Chancellor of the University of Karachi Prof Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui has said that 350 fellowships would be made available to teachers very soon, and asked the teaching cadre to continue to perform their duties with the same zeal and zest.

Presiding over the annual meeting of the KU teachers’ association at the Arts Auditorium on Saturday evening, he said that work on a master plan for faculty development was continuing, and hoped that after its completion, all teachers would get great opportunity of conducting research at the university.

“HEC has provided a lot of facilities in higher education and technology fields, resolving many problems previously faced by the teacher fraternity,” he noted, and hoped that with these steps, education culture in the country would flourish.—PPI
