LAHORE, Nov 10: Deputy Attorney-General Yawar Ali Khan on Saturday resigned in protest against the imposition of emergency and removal of the judges of higher courts.
“Due to unconstitutional steps of the government like imposition of emergency and the PCO, I am not able to continue my office as deputy attorney-general,” says his resignation.
Yawar Ali is the brother-in-law of Supreme Court Judge Khalilur Rahman Ramday, who is under house arrest for the past seven days.
