Lawyers’ protest

Dawn Report

HYDERABAD, Nov 10: Lawyers continued their protest here on Saturday against imposition of emergency and dismissal of Chief Justice of Pakistan and other judges of high and apex courts.

No lawyer appeared before the civil and sessions courts while it was not working day for High Court.

Lawyers hoisted black flag at bar room and held their meeting condemning imposition of emergency.

Police have so far picked up president Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA) Abdul Aziz Sheikh and president High Court Bar Association (HCBA) Hyderabad chapter Abdul Sattar Kazi from their houses.

Most of the lawyers, including general secretary HCBA Hyderabad Allah Bachayo Soomro and others have gone into hiding to evade arrests.

Police, reportedly, have a list of lawyers who they wanted to arrest.

KHAIRPUR: Lawyers, under the aegis of DBA Khairpur, staged a protest demonstration in district sessions court premises here on Saturday.

They were led by DBA president Syed Bachal Shah and general secretary Abdul Qayoom Shaikh.
