LAHORE. Nov 9: Two houses were gutted in two separate fire incidents in the city on Friday reducing valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees to ashes. In the first incident, the upper portion of a house next to the Iranian Consulate at city canal was gutted. The fire apparently erupted owing to short-circuiting. However, there was no casualty.

Another fire broke out in the house of Afzal Ali in Shah Jamal. Fire fighters extinguished the fire. —Staff Reporter
