Two killed in road accidents

ATTOCK, Nov 9: Two persons were killed and five others injured in road accidents in Fatehjang on Thursday evening, police said. Two persons - Azhar Mehmood and Abdul Majeed - were killed when their car crashed into a tree after the driver lost control of the vehicle near Dehma bus stop on Fatehjang-Rawalpindi road.

Three other occupants of the car - Zafar Iqbal, Inam and Ahmed Nawaz - sustained multiple injuries and were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital in Fatehjang. Two persons - Sajid and Sakhi Khan - were injured in a collision between two rickshaws in Fatehjang.

FRAUD CASE: The Fatehjang police have registered a fraud case against a person for issuing a cheque that was dishonoured by the concerned bank.

Masloom Shah, a resident of Hattar village, alleged that he purchased a car from Zahoor Elahi, a resident of Fatehjang, but returned the vehicle because of erroneous documents.

On demand, the seller presented Mr Shah a cheque for Rs350,000 that bounced.
