THATTA, Nov 9: A heavy contingent of Ghulamullah police demolished four houses and arrested seven villagers from the agricultural land of PPP activist Soomar Khan Zangiani. They included Ghulam, Urs, Yousuf, Anwar, Khair Bux, Waheed and Abdul Ghafoor.

PPP leaders Feroze Zangiani and Hassan Zangiani told journalists at Thatta Press club that police raided their village and demolished the houses at the behest of an influential landlord of Shirazi group, Haji Suleman Hillayo, with the intention to occupy approximately 100 acres of land belonging to them.

PPP leaders Dr Abdul Wahid Soomro, Pir Rehmani and others condemned the police action and said that Shirazi group was pressurising the activists to change their loyalties.
