KARACHI, Nov 8: ZTBL were on verge of their first victory in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy National Cricket Championship after reducing Group ‘B’ leaders Islamabad to 158 for five in the second innings at the Diamond Club Ground in Islamabad on Thursday.

Islamabad now have a slender advantage of just 36 runs after Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, the ZTBL skipper, top-scored with 52 to give his side a first-innings lead of 122.

Karachi Whites were well-placed after Sialkot collapsed to 144 for eight in reply the home side’s 272 at the UBL Sports Complex.

Multan reached 115 for two in response to National Bank’s mammoth total of 514 for nine declared.

Talented opener Khurram Manzoor struck an undefeated 106 to put PIA in command of their match against Peshawar at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar.
