PML-N chief pays tribute to judges

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Nov 8: In a letter to the deposed judges of Supreme Court here on Thursday, Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) paid tributes to them for refusing to accept the emergency rule and not taking oath under the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO).

Mian Nawaz Sharif said the refusal of the judges to bow down to military dictator had give a new life to the idea of freedom and sanctity to the constitution.

The judges not only have responded to the call of their conscience but also given courage to 160 million people of Pakistan to fight against dictatorship and tyranny, he said. This step is in fact an authoritative judicial pronouncement which can never be undone, he added.

By rejecting the orders of an autocrat and bearing high the flag of the truth, the judges have sent a clear message that the night of darkness is about to fade away and that a bright morning of real independence is not far away, the chief of PML (N) said.
