US uplift plan for border towns
PESHAWAR, Nov 7: The United States is preparing a development package for towns on the border of the NWFP and tribal areas, says William M. Butterfield of the Bureau Economist of the United States’ Agency for International Development (USAID) for Asia.
He was speaking at a meeting with local businessmen at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Wednesday.
SCCI President Liaqat Ahmad Khan, senior vice-president Haji Mohammad Israr and other executive members of the chamber attended the meeting.
