Bar protest to continue

LAHORE: Supreme Court Bar member Hamid Khan said on Monday that lawyers would continue their protest drive despite large-scale arrests. Talking to Dawn, he said the nationwide boycott of judges who had taken oath under the PCO would also continue.

Answering a question on the fate of arrested lawyers, he said their bail petitions would not be filed by the bar since it did recognize the PCO-beneficiaries as judges.

Hamid Khan appealed to the lawyers community to remain steadfast as its sacrifices would not go waste.—Reporter
