FRANKFURT, Nov 5: German vehicle sales fell by an annualised 4 per cent in October, while exports jumped by 15pc despite the euro’s rise in value against other major currencies, figures released on Monday by the automobile federation VDA showed.
A total of 282,000 new vehicles were registered last month in the eurozone’s biggest economy, with sales continuing to be hurt by an increase in Germany’s value-added tax from 16 to 19pc that took effect in January.—AFP
