KARACHI, Nov 5: Eight ships carrying containers and to load clinkers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher where a dozen ships, Ocean Frontier, Lucky Arrow to load cement, Cape Negro, Satha Bhum, Mousavi, Conti Harmony, Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers, Asha Hilmani, Chital, Jens Munk to unload and load general cargo, Da Bak Sol to load rice, and Lalazar to offload crude oil, were berthed during the last two days.
Sailings were also active as Tenth Ocean, Y.M. Fortune, Sima Sabba, Oel Shreyas, Lastos, Zhen Hua-2, Emerald Isle, Leopard, Natftco Cement-11 and Liquid Success departed on Sunday, while Satha Bhum, Prince, Jens Munk and Conti Harmony are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.202m tons including 60,071 tons of export cargo including 11,197 tons of cement and 8,214 tons of clinkers and 0.142m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Panagia Lady to unload petrol, Northern Fortune, APL Sokhna, Oel Strength, Augusta, Marine Star-1 and Emirate Meru with containers and ITC Golden to load 36,000 tons of clinkers.
