Canadian envoy

MUZAFFARGARH, Nov 4: Canadian High Commissioner David Colin will reach Muzaffargarh to visit Mirwala women’s rights activist Mukhtar Mai’s office on Tuesday.

Talking to Dawn, Mai said the Canadian envoy would visit her centre to discuss modalities to grant another instalment of annual aid to her school and organisation.

Her secretary Naseem said the Canadian government gave Rs2.2 million last year to the school and Mukhtar Mai Women Welfare Organisation and now the high commissioner was visiting again to grant more aid to the school where children are getting free education along with free pick-and-drop, uniform and books.—Correspondent
