KARACHI, Nov 3: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, three ships with containers, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Ten ships, Maersk Novazzano, Sima Pars, New Delhi Express, Skippe Ali, Saranna Naree, Bunga Melati Satu, Al-Debaran, Palanimalia, Liquid Success and Maha Rose, were currently busy in loading/offloading containers, seeds, edible oil, chemicals, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 116,000 tons comprising 99,000 tons of import and 17,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing activity was brisk as New Delhi Express, Khalid Ibn Waleed, Sima Pars, Palminala, Maha Rose and Saranaya Naree left the port while Maersk Novazzano, Liquid Success and Al-Debaran were due to depart.
