Kumble joins Dravid debate

MUMBAI, Nov 2: India leg-spinner Anil Kumble believes Rahul Dravid should have been selected for the one-day side to face Pakistan in a five-match series this month.

Kumble, who retired from the international one-day scene in March this year, believes Dravid is a valuable asset in the dressing room. “I would have preferred that he played for the Indian team,” he told the Times of India.

“It will be a good learning experience for the youngsters to have an experienced player like him around in the dressing room.”—Agencies
