By Our Correspondent

THATTA, Nov 2: Nephew of PPP leader and former MPA, Babu Ghulam Hussain, has been missing since Thursday evening.

Reports said that Javed Memon, manager of the National Bank of Pakistan Jhampir branch, who is nephew of Babu Ghulam Hussain, was returning in his car to Thatta from Jhampir on Thursday, but did not reach home and was missing.

His relatives feared that he might have been kidnapped. They also alleged that police were avoiding to register the case. It may be recalled that a few months ago, a son of Babu Ghulam Hussain was kidnapped and later recovered by police from Balochistan.

PPP LEADER: PPP leader of Thatta, Abdul Khaliq Soomro, has said that watercourse feeding his agricultural lands was demolished by the irrigation officials. He told journalists here on Friday that the watercourse was sanctioned some 40 years back and was demolished as a part of political victimisation.

When contacted, irrigation officials maintained that they had received orders from higher authorities. PPP leaders Ghulam Qadir Palijo, Syed Iqbal Shah, Abdul Sattar Lohar, Malik Luqman Malkani have condemned the victimisation of PPP activists.

DERAILED: Two bogies of goods train were derailed near Ran Patiani on Thursday night. The railway traffic remained suspended for two hours. Later, railway authorities restored the traffic.
