HYDERABAD, Nov 2: The Director Town Planning Department of Sindh, Tahir Ahmed taking serious notice of the publicity of ‘Al-Mubashar Residency’ - proposed construction of apartments and shops in Nawabshah – said since the project had not been not approved by concerned department, as such it was violation of rules and regulations of the Sindh Building Control Ordinance 1979/82 thus liable to prosecution.

In a faxed statement to Dawn on Friday, he said no private housing scheme and commercial buildings can be launched and advertised, and plots booked to general public without the approval of Town Planning Department of Sindh.

He advised the people not to book flat or shop in Al-Mubashar Residency as it was illegal project.

Tahir Ahmed made clear that despite this warning if anyone books plot or shop, he will do at his own risk and cost for which the Town Planning Department will not be responsible.

He said legal proceedings were being initiated under the relevant provisions of the above ordinance against the erring sponsor/builder of the project.
