KARACHI, Nov 2: Three ships carrying containers and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity on the wharves was on the higher side where eight ships were berthed to unload and load containers and general cargo. They are: Kapitan Byankin, Harmony, Hyundai Stride to unload and load containers, Zhen Hua-2 to offload project cargo, Tawe, to offload DAP fertiliser, Akaki to unload crude oil, Bow Century to unload chemicals and Emerald Isle, to load naphtha.

Five vessels, Kapitan Byankin, Harmony, Ack Tsubaki, APL Amman, and Sinar Bintan departed on Friday, while Sea Princess, Bow Century, Notori Dake, Lastos, Akaki and Emerald Isle are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.110m tons comprising 41,916 tons of export cargo, notably rice and cement and 68,058 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Lalazar, with crude oil, Cape Negro and Calvin P. Titus, with containers.
