Reactivation of biometric system postponed

CHAMAN, Nov 1: Pakistan’s Border Security Forces have extended the date of reactivating the biometric system on the Pak-Afghan border till November 10, FC official Col Masood told journalists on Thursday.

He said that about 15,000 people, mostly traders, used the post but only 6,000 of them had border passes. “If the biometric system is made active these traders would face trouble,” he added.

The FC officials told the people moving frequently across the border to acquire their border passes by November 10.—APP
