Three troops among five injured in blasts

QUETTA, Nov 1: Three security personnel and two civilians were injured by landmine in Dera Bugti area on Thursday night.

According to official sources, a vehicle of Frontier Corps supplying food to a checkpost in Gandoai area was blown up after hitting a powerful landmine.

The injured security men, two of them in serious condition, were shifted to the town of Sui for treatment, police said. They were identified as Ghulam Abbas, Azhar and Ehsanullah.

In another incident in Pir Suri area of the Dera Bugti district, two civilians suffered injuries after their pick-up hit a landmine.

The wounded were taken to a hospital in Sui.

According to police, locally-made landmines were used in both the explosions. No arrest has been made so far.
