Banned Bermuda player to be sent home

NAIROBI, Nov 1: Bermudan all-rounder Lionel Cann is to be sent home from the current tour of Kenya following his two-match suspension from one-day cricket, team officials said here on Thursday.

Cann was banned for two one-day internationals for showing dissent to South African umpire Ian Howell during Bermuda’s second One-day International match against Kenya last Saturday.

The 35-year-old player was not in the starting line-up for the four-day Intercontinental Cup which started in Nairobi on Thursday.—AFP
