Two injured Taliban held in Dalbandin

QUETTA, Nov 1: Security forces arrested two injured Taliban from a hospital in Dalbandin on Thursday, official sources told Dawn.

FC personnel raided the Prince Fahad hospital in Dalbandin area and arrested the two injured Taliban who had been brought there from Helmand province of Afghanistan, the sources said.

The sources said that the Taliban had received multiple injuries in a recent joint operation launched by Nato and Afghan forces. Reports reaching here from the area say Taliban activists in the Helmand province suffered a large number of casualties. The injured Taliban were identified as Agha Jan and Abdul Nabi. They were arrested under the Foreigners Act and further investigation was in progress, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the FC personnel arrested 19 Afghans for entering Pakistan illegally from the border town of Taftan.

The sources said they entered Pakistan without legal travel documents.
