THATTA, Nov 1: People’s Party MPA Sassui Palijo has alleged that names of many PPP supporters were not enrolled in the district’s electoral rolls.

Talking to reporters, she said that the rolls had not been prepared in a transparent manner as directed by the Supreme Court.

She further said that voters’ lists had to be displayed at UC level for checking from Oct 26, but five days have passed and there was no list there.

She said that the lists that were available at Election Commission office, Thatta, carried monograms and date but names of voters were missing. She complained that despite the computerised lists there were repetitions of pro-government groups’ voters’ names in it.

Attack Condemned: People’s Party activists observed hunger strike against an attack on PPP activist Fazal Qureshi.

Party’s district president Wazir Memon, Babu Ghulam Hussain, Pir Rehman, Haji Usman Jalbani, Imtiaz Qureshi, Dr Abdul Wahid Soomro and Abdul Aziz Memon participated in the hunger strike.

Wazir Memon alleged that the district administration was targeting the PPP supporters. He said their party activists were being attacked while an activist, Ali Sher Brohi, was implicated in a false case.
