NAWABSHAH: Police plea on illegal bus-stands

NAWABSHAH, Nov 1: The district police officer on Thursday urged the district road transport authority to call a meeting for immediate shifting of illegal bus and van stands from congested areas of the city as they were threatening people’s safety.

In a letter to the chairman of road transport authority, i.e. the district coordination officer, DPO Dr Ghulam Sarwar Jamali said that all the stands of buses and vans were situated in congested areas of the city and operating without permit.

He stated that school-children were also facing hardship because of the bus-stands.

The letter said that the stands of two air-conditioned coach services were situated at Masjid road which was creating nuisance for public.—BoC
