NAWABSHAH, Oct 31: The hearing of the Rasool Bux Brohi murder case was held at the district and sessions court here amid tight security on Wednesday.

The judge observed that the court was waiting for the decision of the Sindh High Court on an application to transfer the case to Karachi after which charges would be framed in the presence of all the accused. The judge adjourned the case till Nov 21.

The accused including DSP Irfan Bahadur, Inspector Sarwar Commando, Baharuddin Babar, Syed Nasirul Hassan, Syed Safdar Shah, ASI Jameel, Mir Farosh, Mujeebur Rehman, ASI Abdul Ghani Khushik, Mohammad Iqbal Niazi, head constable Bahadur Shah, constable Hidayatullah and police informer Nazar Mohammad alias Nazru Khaskheli were present in the court.

However, former SP and Incharge Lyari Task Force, Chaudhry Aslam and Inspector Ishaque Lashari could not be produced before the court due to their reported illness and a hearing in the NAB court, respectively.

The two accused, Safdar Shah and Baharuddin Babar, complained that they were not provided proper medical treatment after which district and session judge Ghulam Qadir Leghari ordered jail superintendent and jail doctor to appear in court on Nov 21.

Rasool Bux Brohi (35)’s father Mohammad Ismail Brohi and uncle Ghulam Hussain Brohi urged the session judge to proceed the case speedily as they were poor and could not afford the trial’s expenses.
