KARACHI, Oct 31: Five ships carrying chemical, DAP fertiliser and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where seven ships, Sea Princess, Team Al-Emirates to load cement, Lastors to offload coal, APL Amman, Bunga Terasek to offload and load containers, Bunglar Maya and Prince to unload and load general cargo were accommodated berths.

Sailing was also active as seven ships, Ever Guide, Kota Gunawan, Iran Faraz, Golden Arrow, Med Carrara, Beluga Resolution and Atlantic Project departed, while Nieetee, Bunga Terasek, Acx Tsubaki, Sinar Binton, Oel Spirit and Aiud are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 75,134 tons comprising 22,052 tons of export cargo and 53,082 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Liquid Success with chemicals, Y.M Fortune, Kapitan Byankin, and Harmony, containers and Tawe with 33,000 tons of DAP fertiliser.
