LAHORE, Oct 30: Pakistan’s top seed Wajid Ali and Ahsan Qamar entered the quarter-finals of the Syrian International Satellite badminton tournament in Damascus, according to a message received here on Tuesday.
Wajid beat Syria’s Ammer 21-11, 21-13 in the third round to make the last-eight stage.
Ahsan proved too good against Patric of Portugal, the world No 91, to register a 21-18, 21-16 win.
Earlier, in the second round Wajid ousted Algeria’s Nabil Lasmeri.
