Traffic head constable shot dead

QUETTA, Oct 30: Armed men gunned down a head constable of traffic police near Killi Ismail area on Tuesday night.

According to police sources, Bashir Ahmed Bajwa was going home on his motorbike after duty at Manan Chowk when he came under fire near Killi Islmail.

He suffered a bullet wound in his head that proved fatal. The assailants escaped soon after the attack.

Police sources said the head constable tried to return fire but could not succeed.

Meanwhile, an unknown caller identifying himself as Bebargh Baloch and spokesman for the banned Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack.
